COMMEMORATIVE EVENTS ON AUGUST 13

Commemorative events in memory of the day the Berlin Wall was built take place each year on August 13. Following a prayer service in the Chapel of Reconciliation, wreaths are placed at the monument dedicated to the memory of the division of the city and in commemoration of the victims of Communist tyranny.

The commemorative events are attended by many prominant figures in both politics and society as well as by representatives of victim associations.
