Poster exhibition - Understanding the Border The poster exhibition "Understanding the Border. The Berlin Wall, 1961-1989" uses Infographics to present in-depth information about the Berlin Wall. It provides both detailed and interior views of the border fortifications. It also shows the location of the border around West Berlin, the places where border troops were stationed and the sites where people died at the Berlin Wall. The infographics are accompanied by short explanatory texts, biographical stories, historical photographs and quotes from oral history interviews. The exhibition demonstrates the uniqueness of the Berlin Wall while raising questions about borders in general and their function.

The exhibition will be on display until September 2017.

Poster exhibition - Understanding the Border Schools, educational centers and other institutions in Germany and abroad can order the exhibition "Understanding the Border. The Berlin Wall, 1961–1989" as a poster set including 12 posters (Format: DIN A1). Available in both German and English. The posters will be delivered carefully rolled-up and must then be framed or mounted on exhibition boards.
