Due to the current spread of the respiratory disease COVID-19, the Berlin Wall Memorial Visitor Center is currently closed. We regret this very much and ask for your understanding.

The Visitor Center across from the Nordbahnhof S-Bahn station is the starting point for registered groups and visitors to the memorial.

Here you can find out what there is to see and do at the memorial and gain an overview of the entire memorial grounds. Information about other Wall sites in Berlin is also available here.

An introductory film on the history of the Wall is shown on the upper level of the Visitor Center. Many different special events also take place in the upstairs rooms. Please refer to our current program to see what events are currently taking place.

A specialized bookstore on the history of the Berlin Wall and the German division is located on the ground floor. Visitor terminals provide information about other Wall sites in Berlin and sites behind the former Iron Curtain.

Visitors can walk from the Visitor Center to the open-air exhibition on the history of the Berlin Wall that is located on the former border strip along Bernauer Strasse: They can also visit the others areas of the memorial site: the Documentation Center with the exhibition "1961 | 1989. The Berlin Wall" and the Chapel of Reconciliation. Prayer services for the victims of the Berlin Wall are held in the chapel regularly from Tuesday to Friday at noon.
